The City Innovate Professional Services team’s goal is to provide all of our customers with a world class implementation experience with our products which will ultimately lead to even higher levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
The Vice President, Professional Services will be responsible and accountable for all practices within the overall Professional Services department, a new department that is being formed to provide technical account management and consulting services to our government clientele.
The Vice President, Professional Services is truly the overall leader of this “mini” business unit inside of City Innovate. Regarding Financial results, Professional Services has its own Income Statement which is forecast each week and measured against plan. The successful candidate will be considered part of the senior leadership here at the company.
The Vice President, Professional Services will initially be an individual contributor and eventually supervise a team comprised of Consultants that are responsible for achieving the annual Professional Services Revenue and Contribution targets, the team development and engagement, operational excellence and change management initiatives, and most importantly, successful client implementations of City Innovate’s product lines.
He/She must be a strong executive leader who can both personally deliver consistent, predictable and high-quality results as well as lead a team to do the same. He/She must possess experience and strength in the areas of complex project management particularly for enterprise software products.
Professional Services financial measurement and management, team leadership and development, problem-solving, and process definition and improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Think and act as the CEO of the Professional Services business that you lead, because that’s what you are. Create the framework and procedures necessary to make the Professional Services department scale beyond one individual (yourself!) and set appropriate triggers for hiring additional personnel based on revenue and contribution.
Work on client billable consulting projects. Own the implementation methodology for Professional Services. City Innovate’s success is driven by repeatable and scalable processes, and an implementation methodology that is repeatable, scalable and efficient is of paramount importance for the Professional Services business overall. It must also be updated over time as the product or other factors change.
Broadly speaking, be a value-added member of City Innovate that acts like an owner of the business, which means looking for ways every day to make City Innovate a better company. This includes identifying value-added “change the business” initiatives within Professional Services and cross-functionally within City Innovate.
Provide guidance and serve as an escalation point to the team and serve as liaison with other organizations within City Innovate.
Keep C-level personnel informed of critical and high-visibility issues on a regular basis.
