The KC BizCare Office is seeking a seamless solution to improve business registartion and resource referrals for our new and existing businesses.


Established in 2009, KC BizCare is a free business resource, advocacy and information center for new and existing businesses operating within the City. Our office provides information and assistance to help business owners understand and comply with City, State and Federal requirements for operating a business.   Our office provides advocacy between businesses and city departments to coordinate business related concerns and needs. We work to streamline initiatives to remove barriers to entry and systematic issues that impede a business’s ability to grow. 

KC BizCare free business customer services center assists business owners with the following: 
  • Licensing and regulatory requirements for starting and/or operating a business in Kansas City, Missouri  
  • Online State of Missouri (incorporation) and Federal Registration (tax Id)
  •  Zoning Clearance requests 
  • Assistance with understanding and navigating city departments for regulatory licensing, permitting and approval 
  • Public access to city computers that allow business owners to submit online applications, access records, property and zoning information and access to other services 
  •  Information and referral to City departments, agencies, and partnering organizations involved in regulation and or assistance for small businesses
The mission of the KC BizCare Office is to assist current and perspective entrepreneurs with starting or expanding a business. Toward this end, we are looking for a CRM solution for streamlining administrative processes that will help us manage and maintain customer information and data, agency/partner relationships, track referrals, marketing, customer engagements and follow up that will help us to deliver actionable data to our customers and policy makers.  

Requirements & Outcome

The KC BizCare Office seeks a solution that would have the following outcomes:

  • A customer in-take module (single page data form) that will create a client profile
  • Ability to upload documents to client profile
  • Ability to tailor resources and/or a referrals list based on questionnaire (in-take form) results and/or other data
  • Searchable-regularly updated directory of city departments, businesses, community- based organizations and agencies (partners) providing services or programs that support small business and entrepreneurship
  • Resource screening to record clients responses to our in-take form and identify resources and referrals based on our current resource data-base (i.e. client action plan)
  • Ability to send referrals to partners and track referral interactions and outcomes 
  • Ability to analyze referral activities and outcomes
  •  Ability to produce detailed system reports
  • Interface with other systems (i.e. City GIS Maps/ Compass KC System)
